Nellie Coffman Middle School has been identified by the California Department of Education as a State-Monitored School and has had a School Assistance and Intervention Team (SAIT) assigned to it.
The parties are desirous of implementing an eight (8) period schedule in place of the traditional six (6) period day.

Additionally, Article 5.2.3 is hereby modified to reflect that all teachers assigned full time to NNCMS shall have an eight (8) period day, one of which will be a preparation period and another to be used as a data period. All other terms and conditions of Article 5.2.3 remain in full force and effect.
3. The parties will convene no later than April 2006 to review the eight (8) period day.
4. This MOU shall remain in full force and effect at NNCMS as along as the eight (8) period day applies to NNCMS or until the parties agree to modify or terminate this MOU.
